Warialda Mini Vinnies consider John the Baptist

On the 9th June, the Mini Vinnies group in Warialda spent some time in spiritual reflection. Their focus was John the Baptist. The children learned that John, like his Aunty Mary and his Cousin Jesus was born without original sin. The group also though about the significance of John's life - being a herald for his Cousin. Members discussed his role as a Prophet and thought about how they too could be prophets, by a. Treating others as they would like to be treated, and b. Being loving and kind. Students are going to drive donations to the local Vinnies Shop as part of the Winter Appeal and have also expressed interest in travelling all the way to Armidale for the Community Sleep Out on the 3rd and 4th of September. Members of the local Vinnies Centre were also in attendance and participated in discussion.
